I would divide Nuclear Physics into 12 modules. They are
1.Nuclear terms
2.Binding energy
3.Bain bridge mass spectrometer
4.RADIO ACTIVITY ( NATURAL & ARTIFICIAL uses)
5.Laws of radioactivity,Rutherford Soddy law,Half life period,Mean life period)
6.Geiger Muller counter & cyclotron
7.Neutrons & Nuclear forces.
8.Nuclear fission
9.Nuclear reactor
10.Nuclear fusion
11.cosmic rays
12.elementary
In nuclear terms I will teach nuclear terms,nuclear mass, nuclear density,nuclear charge,isotopes, atomic mass unit.
In the second one I will teach binding energy & variation of BE/A with mass No A.
In the third lesson I will explain how to determine isotopic masses using Bain bridge mass spectrometer.
In the fourth one I will explain what is meant by natural & artificial radioactivity and uses of radio isotopes.
In the fifth module I will explain how the atomic No and mass No change during alpha & beta decay.I will also derive
N=N0 e-^t
Half life period and Mean life period
In the 6th lesson I willteach Geiger Muller Counter & Cyclotron
In the 7th lesson how neutron was discovered,its properties & Nuclear force
In the 8th lesson I will teach what is nuclear fission,chain reaction.
In the 9th lesson I will teach what is a nuclear reactor and main function of its components
In the 10th lesson I will what is nuclear fusion and explain the direct reaction and C-N cycle
In the 11th lesson I will teach cosmic rays,and latitude effect and altitude effect
In the 12 th lesson I will explain various types of elementary particles
The course will consist of 12 classes each approximately 30 minutes duration.Hence consist of 12 days.The convenient timings are 19.00 to 19.30 ( 7 pm to 7.30 pm of Indian Standard Time)
